The date stamps used on beer are best before dates rather than use by dates, so there is no health risk whatsoever.

The longer past a best before date that you drink a beer you may notice flavours become weaker. We always want you to taste the beer the way the brewer intended, but on occasions like this we recommend drinking the beer as close to the BBD as possible, to better enjoy the flavour.

Some beers also display a bottled on date as well as or instead of a best before date, so double check that too.

In short, drinking beer that is past it's best before date won't do you any harm and can be a perfectly enjoyable experience!
